Balvraid Steading

Balvraid Steading is a striking baronial style, modern Scottish castle.

Situated in its own grounds, approached via a private, tree lined farm track with two rounded turrets and a separate stone staircase and stunning views over farmland to sea. It has 5 bedrooms in the main house and 2 separate ensuite annexes.

Located only 5 miles from Dornoch and a 5 minute walk from Loch Fleet.

Dornoch has a fantastic selection of shops including ‘The Dornoch Stores’ which has a deli section selling fine cheeses, meats and wines, antiques & vintage shops, gift shop, co-op, butcher, baker, chemist and lots more.

Enjoy Dornoch’s local restaurants too including Greens Restaurant, Luigis, Dornoch Castle Whisky Bar & Bistro and The Coach House.

Cafes include the very popular Cocoa Mountain and Milk and Honey.

Check-in time is any time after 4PM and check-out time is 10AM.

Up to two well-behaved dogs welcome.

6 en-suite superking bedrooms and 1 twin room. All beds can be separated into singles - please let us know desired set up at time of booking.

1 bathroom on ground floor.

All bedrooms in main house are accessible via stairs. The annexes are accessible.

Cot available on request.

Available for stag and hen parties.
